Artists

“There’s just something about them,” remark audience members. It’s true: not only are the performers that make up Divine Performing Arts extraordinarily talented, but there is a depth to what they do. Why, you ask? From DPA’s most acrobatic dancer to its soulful erhu player, all of its performers share a commitment to DPA’s mission of reviving traditional Chinese culture. This commitment inspires them to follow a principle in Chinese thought that holds: inner beauty is necessary for creating true art. They wield their skills in dance, music, lighting, costume design, and much more, in a way that you won’t find anywhere else.

With over eighty dancers making up two casts that tour simultaneously, and a fifty-piece orchestra, they are taking the world by storm.

In these pages you will learn about the range of journeys that have brought some of these incredible individuals to Divine Performing Arts.
